Cromford faith school upholds Christian values

A Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) carried out by the National Society of Methodist Schools found Cromford Primary School was ‘good’ overall.

The report stated: “The school’s Christian values of love and care for its pupils ensure that all succeed.”

It added that attainment is generally above the national average for both the infants and the juniors and progress is good.

The report said staff are a vibrant team who work in partnership with parents and governors to ensure every pupil makes good progress from their different starting points and achieves well. It also found that the unique qualities of each and every pupil are celebrated and as a result, all feel valued and special.

It added: “Parents are enthusiastic about the school, the importance of its Christian values, its ability to nurture all the pupils regardless of need and be truly inclusive for all. They enjoy the family atmosphere, the openness of the staff and head teacher and know their views are listened to and actioned.”

The outcome goes alongside the ‘Good with Outstanding features’ Cromford School received at its latest Ofsted inspection in October 2012.

The children, parents and staff of Cromford School are all very proud of the results and the progress the school has made.
