Police from Killamarsh and Eckington Safer Neighbourhood Team joined with officers from Clowne, Shirebrook and Clay Cross to break into the Ridgeway home to uncover a cannabis grow on February 4.
The neighbourhood teams seized a number of plants and equipment used to cultivate cannabis which were found in a dark, well-insulated room within the property, with hot lights to encourage growth.

Hide AdResidents who suspect a property is being used to grow or deal illegal drugs are encouraged to report information to officers as soon as possible.
An officer from Shirebrook SNT said: “Cannabis grows pose a real danger to our communities – with electricity often illegally bypassed that have seen lead to fires where people have been seriously hurt.
“We often see comments about how cannabis grows are not a serious issue but the danger posed by these grows is very real – and poses a huge risk to our communities.
“We will continue to act on all information that is passed to us and I would urge anyone who is concerned about drug production or dealing in their area to contact us in confidence.”

Hide AdStrong, sickly smells, windows that are constantly covered, excessive security and high levels of condensation are all signs of potential cannabis farms according to police.
In a message on Facebook, Killamarsh and Eckington SNT added: “We will not tolerate drug-related activity in our area.
"If you suspect someone growing or dealing drugs, please report this to us by calling 101.”
