Watch as Traffic Cops intercept drug dealers between Sheffield and Chesterfield

Jerome and Seaon Thompson were stopped by officers on April 24 last year as they drove back from Bolsover to Sheffield because they suspected the car was being used as part of a ‘county lines’ operation.

County lines gangs often use children and vulnerable people to courier drugs and money into Derby and other towns in Derbyshire, setting them up in houses where the drugs are then dealt from.

Dealers then use a dedicated phone line in order to sell the drugs.

When the Thompsons were stopped, they were found to be carrying a large amount of drugs and cash. A knife was also found by police during searches.Jerome, aged 24, admitted possessing a knife and possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply. He was jailed for 21 months.Seaon, 27, also pleaded guilty to possessing both drugs with intent to supply and was sentenced to 16 months in prison.Jerome, of Philadelphia Gardens, Sheffield, and Seaon, of City Road, Sheffield, were sentenced at Derby Crown Court in October.

The Traffic Cops from Derbyshire Constabulary locate and follow their target vehicle before forcing it to stop by surrounding it with unmarked police cars.
