Van seized by police in Chesterfield after 'suspicious activity'
A van was seized in the Dunston area of Chesterfield after reports of ‘suspicious activity’.
The van was being used to collect scrap and it was reported the driver was checking the front of properties and looking for scrap items.
A Derbyshire police spokesperson said: “After checks had been made, the van was seized. This was because the driver did not have an appropriate driving licence, and no insurance.
“A long walk home for the driver and his wife, and the van will not be returned to him.”
