Two uninsured vehicles seized off Chesterfield roads

A motorbike rider with no license, insurance or tax was stopped by police and the bike was seized as was a van where the disqualified driver provided false details.

The Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit have taken two uninsured vehicles off Chesterfield’s roads on Friday, February 19.

A police spokesperson said on the RPU twitter account said: “On the A617 Chesterfield a driver tries to give us false details but fails to convince us or the fingerprint reader. “The driver was disqualified and had no insurance. The driver and his passenger, the owner of the vehicle, have both been reported to court and the van has been seized.”

A motorbike rider was also stopped by the RPU in Chesterfield and the police said on their social media: “No insurance, no MOT, no tax, rider no CBT, bald tyres and a few other issues. The bike was seized and the rider reported to court.”
