Two charged after Eastwood bladed weapon assault

Two men have been charged after a man was assaulted with a bladed weapon in Eastwood.

The incident happened in Lawrence Avenue at around 4.20pm on Tuesday, April 28. The man was taken to hospital but his injuries were not life-threatening.

Adam Rhodes, of Cultivation Road and Dominic Wright, of Scargill Walk, both in Eastwood, were arrested the following day and have been charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

The two 31-year-old men have been remanded to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court today (May 1).

Rhodes faces as an additional charge of common assault following an incident involving the same victim on Monday (April 27).

Two men, aged 36 and 32, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the incident in Eastwood on Tuesday afternoon have been bailed while a 31-year-old woman arrested for the same offence has been released under investigation.
