Trio charged with drug offences after police raid in Grangewood

Three people have been charged with drug offences after a police search at a property in Grangewood.

Officers carried out a warrant at an address on Birchwood Crescent on Thursday.

Three people, a 19-year-old and two 17-year-olds, who were at the address were also searched and officers found drugs and cash.

They were all arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class a drugs, and later charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin. All three appeared before magistrates in Chesterfield on Friday, March 3.

Ruben Commons, 19, of no fixed address but from the Nottingham area, pleaded guilty and was committed to Derby Crown Court for sentencing later this month.

A 17-year-old boy from Derby and a 17-year-old boy from Nottingham are also due to appear before the youth courts later this month.
