The latest police statistics have been released – and they reveal the most crime-hit streets in Chesterfield town centre.

According to police.uk, 170 crimes were recorded in the Chesterfield Town Centre policing area in December 2019.

Listed are the ten places in the area with the most reports of crimes that month.

There were 16 crimes recorded on South Street.
On or near the police headquarters on Beetwell Street there were 15 reported crimes.
On New Beetwell Street there were 11 reports of crime.
Around the nightclub area on Holywell Street there were 10 incidents reported.
Ten reports were made on Corporation Street.
Station Back Lane had nine incidents recorded.
There were seven incidents reported on Church Walk.
On Cavendish Street Seven crimes were reported in December.
The car park around Malkin Street had seven reports of crime.
There were seven crimes reported in Church Way.
