The latest cases heard by Chesterfield and Derby magistrates

Philip Clarke, 50, of Kipling Road, Chesterfield: Guilty of assault by beating. Given 12-month community order, made to pay £100 compensation, £310 court costs, £95 victim surcharge and fined £60.

James Henchcliffe, 29, of Maynard Road, Boythorpe, Chesterfield: Guilty of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order – namely failing to attend unpaid work. Given 12-month community order with eight rehabilitation activity days. Fined £170 and made to pay £60 court costs.

Jodie Carroll, 34, of Calow Lane, Hasland: Guilty of assault with actual bodily harm and destroying a mobile phone. Jailed for 26 weeks suspended for 24 months, given a two-year restraining order, 35 rehabilitation activity days and made to pay £200 compensation.

Carol Coslett, 57, of Woodnook Close, Holme Hall, Chesterfield: Guilty of driving at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour – namely 37 miles per hour. Fined £166, made to pay £110 court costs and £34 victim surcharge. Driving record endorsed with three penalty points.

Paul McCann, 57, of Langer Lane, Birdholme, Chesterfield: Guilty of failing to provide information identifying the driver of a vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £180, made to pay £85 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge. Driving record endorsed with six penalty points.

Sadie Webster, 24, of Ashlea Green, Clowne: Guilty of destroying a blue Mazda of unknown value, harassment and two counts of using threatening behaviour. Jailed for 20 weeks and made to pay £200 compensation.

Mateusz Zebrowski, 25, of Common Lane, Shirebrook: Guilty of assault by beating. Case adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

Lynsey Shaw, 46, of Charles Street, Leabrooks, Alfreton: Guilty of stealing approximately 128 postal packages containing greeting cards, gift cards, vouchers and toys to the value of £495.50 belonging to Royal Mail Group Ltd. Jailed for 26 weeks suspended for 12 months. Given 12-week curfew with electronic tag. Made to pay £495.50 compensation, £1,500 court costs and £122 victim surcharge.

Junior Hall, 43, of Priory Road, Alfreton: Guilty of driving at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour. Fined £100, made to pay £85 court costs and £34 victim surcharge. Driving record endorsed with three penalty points.

Samuel Garvey, 23, of Spring Hill, Whitwell: Guilty of driving without due care and attention, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report and accident. Given 12-week curfew with electronic tag. Banned from driving for for 84 days. Made to pay £620 court costs and £95 victim surcharge.

Sharna King, 27, of Hazel Tree Close, Ripley: Guilty of driving without due are and attention. Banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending. Fined £120, made to pay £34 victim surcharge and £110 court costs.

James Mitchell, 32, of Boweswell Road, Ilkeston: Guilty of failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed following release from a period of imprisonment - failed to attend supervision appointments. Jailed for 14 days due to flagrant disregard for court orders.

Bellfield Furnishings Ltd, Furnace Road, Ilkeston: Guilty of failing to ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees – namely through the risk of injury from contact with vehicles reversing across the yard. Fined £100,000, made to pay £170 victim surcharge and £18,618 in costs to the Health and Safety Executive.

Carl Wildgoose, 28, of Ferneydale Avenue, Harpur Hill, Buxton: Guilty of breaching a domestic violence protection notice. Jailed for for 28 days as offence was a deliberate breach by contacting a high-risk victim. Made to pay pay £146 costs.
