Lee Hughes, 41, Devonshire Avenue North, New Whittington. Drove a Fiat Bravo while under the influence of cocaine. Guilty. Banned from driving for two years and given a six-month community order. Also made subject to a six-week curfew between 7pm to 7pm and made to pay £310 court costs and a £90 victim surcharge.
John Mather, 51, Flaxpiece Road, Clay Cross. Assault by beating. Pleaded guilty. Fined £80, made to pay compensation of £50, victim surcharge of of £32 and court costs of £85.

Paul Sealey, 44, Hardwick Street, Chesterfield. Two counts of assault by beating. Jailed for 16 weeks suspended for 15 months. Convicted at Lancashire Magistrates' Court. Ordered to pay £500 compensation and undertake alcohol and rehabilitation requirement.
