10. Dylan Geary, Daniel Lewsley, Grant James Masterson and Jordan Fairbrother
These four men were jailed for 103 years over the fatal stabbing of 22-year old Byron Griffin.
They attacked Byron in Ilkeston on July 4 last year.
Dylan Geary slashed the 22-year-old with a machete while witnesses saw Jordan Fairbrother stab him in the chest with a knife.
A single stab wound had pierced Byron's lung and heart and despite the efforts of paramedics he was pronounced dead at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
The blade - discovered by officers hidden in a bag of dog food - was found to have both Jordan Fairbrother’s, and Daniel Lewsley’s DNA on it.
Geary, 22, Lewsley, 32 and Masterson, 29, all of Great Northern Close, Ilkeston, and 26-year-old Fairbrother, of Nelson Street, Swadlincote, all denied murder but were found guilty at trial. Geary and Lewsley were both ordered to serve a minimum of 25 years while Masterson was jailed for a minimum of 26 years and Fairbrother must serve at least 27-and-a-half years.
