“Officers are also interested in hearing from anyone who has dashcam footage of the incident. You can send footage to [email protected] including the incident number in the subject line.”

The driver clearly shows no intention to slow down or stop, despite the cyclist coming from its right – and the cycling club is now appealing for potential witnesses after contacting the police.

The club has since said the cyclist, who is a member of the club, is okay and has ‘a few cuts and bruises’.

The incident happened when he was commuting to work.
