Police release CCTV images after ‘attack’ in Chesterfield

Police have released CCTV images as part of an appeal over an alleged assault in Chesterfield.

Between 10.30pm and 11pm on July 17, there was an altercation between two groups of people near to the former magistrates’ court on West Bars.

A group of four men allegedly approached a group of three men and two women from behind.

Two men were allegedly assaulted and suffered injuries.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard the incident and would particularly like to trace those people pictured.

“Although the images are not of the best quality, we hope someone may be able to recognise themselves or can help us trace the individuals by their clothing.”

Anyone who can help police with their enquiries should call 101, quoting reference number 20*368097 and name of the officer in the case, DC Danielle Wood.
