Two people have been arrested after a child fell from a second-floor window in Chesterfield.

A 20-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect, following reports that a 20-month-old boy fell from a second-floor window in Chesterfield at 11.00am yesterday.

A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said: “The boy's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

”The arrested pair have been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.”
