Police issue update after man's body found in Chesterfield stream

Police investigating the death of a man in Chesterfield say they do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.

The man’s body was found in a stream off Chatsworth Road at around 7.45am on Tuesday.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said on Wednesday afternoon: “A scene was put in place while enquiries were made and the body of the man, who was aged in his 50s, was recovered.

“Officers investigating the death do not believe there were any suspicious circumstances.

“A file is being prepared for the coroner.”
