Officers are investigating a spate of burglaries just outside Chesterfield – and have reassured residents that high-visibility patrols will commence.

The incidents occurred in Wingerworth between 5.00pm and 9.00pm on Monday, December 12.

Enquiries are being carried out and officers wish to speak to anyone who may have information, who witnessed anything suspicious or those with CCTV footage which could help.

High-visibility patrols will be carried out in the area, and officers have urged residents to be vigilant and report any people or vehicles acting suspiciously.

A number of burglaries were reported in Wingerworth earlier this week.
