Two ‘large lurchers’ were off their lead – one brown brindle and the other blue/grey colour – and two Jack Russells, one of which was also loose.

A spokesperson for the SNT said: “The three loose dogs attacked the male's small dog causing injuries which resulted in veterinary care/costs. The dog in particular which caused the injuries was the brown brindle lurcher.”
