Police ‘gobsmacked’ after mangled car driven from Snake Pass to Sheffield

A smashed-up car was driven from the Snake Pass to Sheffield – leaving police ‘gobsmacked’.

South Yorkshire Police's Operational Support Unit released pictures of the mangled vehicle on Twitter and expressed their shock.

They said in the post: “Sheffield – called to assist local officers with a prohibition.

“Gobsmacked.

“This had been driven from the Snake Pass in this state after the driver was involved in a collision.

“Vehicle prohibited, driver reported on summons by local officers.”

No further details have been released at this stage.
