Police have thanked the public for their help in catching a man, convicted of death by dangerous driving, who went on the run from a Derbyshire prison.

Officers say Alan Paul Steel (42) who left HMP Sudbury last week has been located by officers from Nottinghamshire Police.

A force spokespersons said: “Thank you to everyone who responded to our appeal to trace him.”
