Police boxed in a car which failed to stop for officers in north Derbyshire last night.

The driver of the Seat Cupra, which was eventually pulled over in Renishaw, was allegedly not paying insurance.

Officers from Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted: “Renishaw. Cupra failed to stop for police a few days ago so boxed in tonight after being spotted.

“Driver paying a man in Surrey he's never met £300 a month to 'insure' it = no insurance. Investigation into previous fail to stop ongoing.”
