The lousy motorists had vehicles seized, were arrested and reported to courts for offences ranging from bad tyre treads and drink driving to car theft.
During one job police caught car thieves out for a ride in a Mazda stolen the previous evening – which ended up in a ditch after running over stingers.

5. Driver falls asleep at the wheel
Police say the driver of this Vauxhall was saved by "car safety technology" after nodding off on the M1 while driving home in the early hours. They tweeted: "No injuries. Driver reported to court."

6. Drunk, no licence and no insurance
Police say the driver of this BMW struggled "to understand 'Follow Me' on their matrix board. They tweeted: "Struggling to stay in lane, poor driving. Eventually stops - drunk, no licence and no insurance. Arrested. #Fatal4 #Seized".

7. No driving licence or insurance, tests positive for drugs
The driver of this Focus was pulled over in Swanwick after displaying "poor driving". Police tweeted: "No driving licence or insurance. Tests positive for drugs on @DrugWipeUK "Arrested and vehicle #Seized. #Fatal4".

8. "Male driving his BMW who shouldn't be"
This BMW was pulled over in Chesterfield after police received a report "there's a male driving his BMW who shouldn't be". "Checked and report correct - no driving licence or insurance. #Seized," they tweeted.
