One-year-old girl still in 'serious condition' after Derbyshire dog attack

Emergency services were called to a house on Beech Avenue in Long Eaton on Tuesday after the one-year-old was bitten by the animal.

She was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where police said this afternoon that she remains in a serious condition.

The dog has been seized by officers, and police said an assessment would take place to determine its breed.
