North Derbyshire man in knife attack after pub row

A 41-year-old man has admitted a knife attack after an incident at a Clay Cross pub.

Kelvin Fletcher slashed a man with a Stanley knife in Market Street following a disagreement at the Nag’s Head on May 20 this year.

He was arrested later that day, after handing himself in at Clay Cross police station.

Fletcher, of Oakdale Close, Danesmoor, admitted wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article at Derby Crown Court on September 3 and is next due to appear for sentencing on October 6.
