New CCTV images released in connection with theft of three dogs from Derbyshire farm

Police have released further CCTV images of a man and a woman they are keen to trace in connection with a burglary at a Derbyshire farm in which three dogs were stolen.

The theft is believed to have taken place sometime overnight between Tuesday, August 3, and Wednesday, August 4, at Brookfield Farm, on West Road in Spondon.

Two Cockapoos named Elvis and Tony were stolen along with a Cocker Spaniel called Remy.

Now, police have released further images of a man and woman they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, as well as a vehicle they would like more information on.

They say it was showing the registration plate 04-KE-3642 and may have travelled to the Tamworth area.

A man aged in his 20s and from Derby has been arrested in the Kent area today, Thursday, August 26, in connection with the incident and is set to be questioned by officers.

Detective Sergeant Scott McDermott said: “Our investigation is continuing into the theft of these dogs, but we still would like to hear from anyone who may recognise the people in the images, or if they have seen a vehicle with this registration and haven’t yet spoken to us.

“Thank you to everyone who has helped with our enquiries so far. We remain committed to trying to find Elvis, Tony and Remy and to reuniting them with their owners. I would urge anyone with information which could help to contact us or their local police force if they are outside of the area.”

Those who have information in relation to the burglary and theft of the dogs, should contact police by either calling 101, messaging them on Facebook or Twitter or by completing an online contact form on their website and quoting reference 21*436321 in any correspondence.
