'Nasty' Derbyshire stalker told couple they had two weeks left to spend with loved ones

Victor Unczur, of Derby Road, Long Eaton, sent a number of threatening messages to his victims via Facebook which culminated with a video of himself holding a handgun on June 10.

In the footage, the 24-year-old can be seen handling a black and grey handgun.

He then rotates the gun towards the camera and unclips and clips back on the gun magazine which contained several gold coloured bullets.

He had also threatened the victims over the telephone and made threats to ‘open them up’ – stating that they had two weeks left to spend with loved ones.

Unczur was subsequently arrested and charged with stalking and use of threatening or abusive words.

The threats made the victims fear for their lives.

In a statement to police, one of the victims said the incidents made her ‘scared and panicked that something bad would happen’ and had left her ‘anxious to leave the house’.

She said she had tried to block Unczur but he had always found ways to contact her and she had been left feeling ‘harassed and distressed’.

Unczur admitted it was him in the video and pleaded guilty to the offences.

Police searched for the gun but no weapon was found.

Appearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday, Unczur was jailed for 18 months in prison and given a restraining order.

PC Louise Palfrey, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Unczur is a nasty individual who held no regard for the distress and alarm he was causing his victims and their families and showed no remorse for his actions.

“We’re glad he’s now been held to account for his crimes and sends the message out that these cases will be taken seriously and prioritised by Nottinghamshire Police.

“No one should have to endure this level of threatening behaviour and it’s completely unacceptable to behave in this way.”
