Motorbike rider in 'serious condition' after crashing into wall on rural North East Derbyshire road

A man remains in a ‘serious condition’ in hospital after crashing into a wall on a rural North East Derbyshire road, following a collision on Saturday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, as they investigate the crash that took place at around 7pm on April 17.

A blue Kawasaki Ninja ZX was travelling along the B6418 in Clowne, where Low Road becomes Cliff Hill when the bike veered off the carriageway and crashed into a wall.

The driver was taken to hospital, where he remains.

Officers are urging anyone who saw the collision, or remembers passing the bike before the incident, to come forward.

The force also want to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage that may have filmed along the B6418 or A632 around 7pm on Saturday.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, referencing DC Scott Cooper and quoting number 21*210717.
