Man stabbed in leg during assault in Derbyshire street

Derbyshire police are appealing for witnesses after a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the leg during an assault on Monday (November 30).

The police said they received reports that a man had been injured in Elizabeth Avenue, Fairfield, Buxton at around 12.40 yesterday.

The man was found with serious injuries after he was assaulted in the street.

He was later taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, in particular anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV that captured the incident.
