Man punched and dog kicked in daylight Chesterfield attack

Officers are searching for information about a drunk man who assaulted an owner and his dog in Chesterfield.

The incident occurred in the Town Hall gardens at around 10.20am on 18 August while the owner, a man in his 50s, was walking his dog in the gardens.

The attacker, who punched the owner in the head and kicked his dog in the stomach, is described as being around 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing a pair of dirty jeans, a burgundy jacket and was believed to be in his late 20s.
