Man missing for more than two weeks found in Derbyshire town

A man who had been missing from Nottinghamshire for more than two weeks has been found in Derbyshire.

Jan Gration was reported missing from Eastwood on Wednesday, April 14.

On Tuesday, Derbyshire Constabulary released a new image of the 50-year-old getting off a bus in Buxton Market Place at 4.42pm on Thursday, April 15.

Officers appealed for anyone with CCTV footage which showed him walking down Terrace Road in the direction of Spring Gardens to get in touch with them.

But police have today confirmed that he has been found in Buxton.

Derbyshire Constabulary praised the public for their help in locating him, writing: “Jan Gration, who was missing from Eastwood in Nottingham, has now been found in Buxton.

"Thank you to everyone who shared or responded to our appeal.”

Posting on Facebook, Buxton Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said he has now been “transferred to a place of safety where his wellbeing can be looked after.”
