Man dies after collapsing at remote Peak District spot near Buxton

Police, ambulance crews and Buxton Mountain Rescue rushed to Berry Clough in the Goyt Valley at about 12.30pm on Sunday after receiving reports a man had collapsed.
An air ambulance was also deployed but despite the best efforts of emergency services, he later died.

There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Paramedics and mountain rescue volunteers were called to an area of the Goyt Valley when a man had collapsed and later died. Officers attended the scene. There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and we have notified the coroner.”
An East Midlands Ambulance spokesperson added: "We received a call at 12.33pm on Sunday 22 November to Macclesfield Old Road in Buxton to assist with a medical emergency. We sent a paramedic in an ambulance car, two crewed ambulances and mountain rescue. The air ambulance was also in attendance.”
