Man arrested after 'several hundred' cannabis plants found at Chesterfield industrial unit

A man has been arrested following the discovery of what is thought to be a large cannabis grow at a unit in Chesterfield.

Officers carried out a warrant at an industrial unit on Meltham Lane, Stonegravels, on Friday 22 January following reports following information from the community.

Several hundred suspected cannabis plants were discovered at the premises, and have been seized by officers, who remained at the site on Saturday.

A 23-year-old man from Leicester was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
