Here are some Derbyshire drivers caught red-handed by police’s unmarked HGV

Derbyshire Police are using an unmarked HGV tractor unit with a de-restricted speed limiter and an elevated driving position - allowing officers to drive alongside vehicles and film evidence of unsafe driving.

The view from the lorry cab allows officers to see down into cars and watch drivers calling, texting or using their mobile phones.

Officers driving the lorry act as spotters before a marked police car behind stops the driver.

Below are a few examples of their collars so far...
