Fire crews extinguish fire in Staveley after blaze broke out in vehicle

Firefighters were called to put out a blaze in Chesterfield last night (April 22), after a vehicle caught a light.

A car caught fire at the back of a property in Staveley yesterday.

Crews were called to the scene at 5.13pm and Staveley Fire Station applauded the ‘quick action’ by firefighters to extinguish the blaze which prevented the fire from spreading to a building.

In a tweet, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Great work by @StaveleyOnCall and @StaveleyFire yesterday!”.
