Derbyshire residents are urged to be vigilant after reports of calls involving scammers ‘pretending to be police officers’.

The Police Contact Centre said it had received a number of reports of calls of this nature and warned residents to be aware.
A spokesperson said: “They are wanting to know how much you have in your bank, as fraudsters are attempting to take money out of your account. Please terminate any calls you receive from them.”
