Derbyshire police call for witnesses after woman seriously injured following A38 collision

Officers in Derbyshire are encouraging anyone with information about a collision on the A38 last night to come forward, after a woman was left seriously injured.

Police were called to the A38 northbound, at the junction with Carriers Way in Egginton at 6.15pm yesterday evening (April 26) following reports of a crash between a lorry and a grey Audi Q3.

A man, woman and child in the Audi were injured in the collision, with the woman having suffered life-threatening injuries.

The A38 was closed while officers worked to clear the scene and the road was re-opened at around 1.30am today (April 27).

Officers are urging witnesses or anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen dashcam footage, to contact the force as soon as possible by calling 101 and

quoting reference 21*229148.
