Derbyshire house hit with closure order after multiple incidents
A Derbyshire property which put ‘significant demand’ on local services has been closed following repeated reports of incidents involving anti-social behaviour.
A closure order has been secured for a property at 23 Warwick Road in Somercotes following repeated reports of anti-social behaviour.
Police said incidents at the property were placing a ‘significant demand’ on local services.
The order was put in place on Thursday, July 2, following joint partnership work between the Somercotes & Riddings beat team, Amber Valley Borough Council, Guinness Housing and their legal representatives.

PC Ashmore & PC Wright, from the Somercotes & Riddings team said: "This closure order is the result of strong partnership working and demonstrates our commitment to tackling persistent anti-social behaviour that has a negative impact on our community.
"We understand the effect this type of behaviour has on local residents, and we hope this action provides reassurance that concerns are being listened to and acted upon.
"We would like to thank AVBC, Guinness Housing and their legal teams for their continued support throughout this process.
“We encourage anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour to continue reporting it to us so we can take positive action where necessary."
