![Webster, 33, was jailed for 16 months after smashing his car into a HGV at Whittington Moor roundabout during a race with two others following a six-hour pub binge.
Brothers Robert and Michael Bower - racing Webster in separate cars at the time - were locked up for 14 months and 12 months respectively.
The court heard speeds of up to 88mph were reached on Brimington Road North before the crash.
Unbelievably, Webster had his partner and three-year-old son in the car with him – who were both “miraculously” unhurt.
Judge Robert Egbuna told the defendants: “I cannot think of a worse piece of dangerous driving. It is sheer luck that no-one died.”](https://www.derbyshiretimes.co.uk/webimg/b25lY21zOjE4MmIwYzFjLTVhZTgtNGMwZi1iMzQ3LWUwZDJmNzgxZTMyMzphMTM4OWFlMi0xZDNjLTQ1YTgtOGNhZi1mYmRlNDEyOGQ5ZjA=.jpg?crop=3:2&width=640)

Judge Nirmal Shant QC - who previously handed Wright 10 months jail suspended for two years for similar dangerous driving in July 2020 - told him: “I’m afraid it’s my duty to punish you as I said I would if you returned.”
