Four people were given fines for Covid breaches after a driver lost control of his car and crashed during a police chase.

The silver Vauxhall Vectra smashed into a road sign on the A632 between Chesterfield and Matlock.

Derbyshire Armed Response Unit tweeted: “New car, bald tyres, no licence or insurance. No essential reason to be out with 3 mates during lockdown.

"Fails to stop for our north car and loses control. Thankfully no injuries. Numerous motoring offences, vehicle seized and all occupants given COVID breach fines.”
