Convict escapes from Derbyshire's open prison

A prisoner has escaped from HMP Sudbury.

Hashim Ajmal left the open prison on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old was convicted for possession of heroin with intent to supply last year.

He is described as 6ft tall and of slim build with brown eyes and brown hair.

Ajmal has connections to the Dudley and Cradley Heath areas of Birmingham, according to Derbyshire Constabulary.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call the force immediately on 101, quoting reference number 22 of November 24.
