Chesterfield Borough Council have been made aware of the incident and the Street Cleaning Team are out cleaning the area.

A spokesperson for Clay Cross SNT said: “Please make sure that your children know what these look like and if they see any needles lying around to report it straight away.

"For a more urgent response we would request that you call 101 so officers can be deployed immediately.”
