Chesterfield woman robbed on way to work after men snatched her bag

A woman was robbed on her way to work in Chesterfield after two men snatched her bag off her.

At around 8.20am this morning (Monday, November 23) two robbers stole a woman’s bag as she walked to work.

The 61-year-old woman was walking at the junction of Holbeck Close and Brimington Road in Chesterfield, when she was approached by two men.

One of the robbers snatched her black handbag, which caused her to fall to the floor.

The victim described the man who snatched the bag as slim, 5ft 6ins tall and in his late 20s.

He has long brown hair and wore a khaki coat, while the other robber was very slim and looked slightly older.

Police are urging witnesses to come forward or anyone who was in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage.
