A Chesterfield woman has been banned from the roads after she was caught behind the wheel of her car over the drink-drive limit.

Records show that Sharon Hinchliffe, 51, of Chesterfield Road, Barlborough, Chesterfield admitted drink driving when she appeared before Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court on July 30.

She was stopped by police in the Clowne area of Derbyshire on May 3 and had 74 micrograms of alcohol to 100ml of breath, when the legal limit is 35ml.

She was banned from driving for 12 months and was fined £300 by magistrates. She must also pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
