Chesterfield man charged with sexual assault and attempted rape

A Chesterfield man has been charged with sexual assault and the attempted rape of a woman.

Jake Mills, 20, appearing via prison video link at Chesterfield Magistrates Court, entered no pleas to the charges.

Prosecutor Daniel Wilshaw asked magistrates to send Mills’ case to Derby Crown Court to tie in with other charges he faces.

Mills, of Boythorpe Road, Boythorpe, Chesterfield, was remanded into custody until his next appearance at Derby Crown Court on October 8.
