Calum Hatt’s car was parked on Pennine Way near White Edge Close when he heard a loud bang at around 11.45 on Thursday night (November 19).

“A girl kicked or punched my wing mirror,” Mr Hart said. “I actually heard the bang and looked out the window and saw her walking off.

"Unfortunately I didn’t notice what she had actually done straight away. Once I realised I did go out but she had gone.

"She had a black jacket on with a pink t-shirt underneath that was longer than the jacket. She had black leggings on with 3 white stripes down the sides and white shoes.”

Mr Hart said that the girl walked away in the direction of the Nag’s Head pub and Newbold Village and that police are checking the CCTV of shops in the area.

“Times are hard enough at the moment without having to pay for damage to my car.

“I’m due to start a new job on Monday. I’m lucky she didn’t actually break it off or I wouldn’t have been able to get to work.”
