Carjackers forced a man from his car in Holmewood then crashed it

Carjackers made off with a 34-year-old man’s car in Holmewood – throwing him from the vehicle then crashing it.

During the violent robbery three men forced the owner out of the black VW Golf on Park Road – crashing it 100 metres from a petrol station on Heath Road.

The men - who were all wearing high-viz tops – ran off on foot taking a large amount of money with them.

Police say the car was taken from its owner on Park Road on Wednesday at about 6.20pm.

The three men drove away from the scene along Heath Road in the direction of junction 29 of the M1.

Officers want to speak to people – in particular any drivers – who were in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage of the incident.
