The men who were stopped by Derbyshire Constabulary’s Dales Response Team and the county’s Armed Response Unit claimed to be road testing the car at 1.20am in the morning (March 25).

It is believed the occupants travelled from Dronfield outside their local area to the Dales to ‘cruise’ around, until their journey was cut short.

The driver of the BMW was found to have no valid insurance and the vehicle was seized by officers.
