BMW driver taken to hospital after two-vehicle crash in Chesterfield area

A motorist has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash near Chesterfield earlier today.

Emergency services were called to a collision between a BMW X5 and a Seat Ibiza in Market Street, close to the junction with Bridge Street, in Clay Cross, at around 7.55am.

The driver of the BMW was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

Derbyshire Constabulary said no arrests have been made, although enquiries continue into the circumstances of the crash.
