Bikes torched and ‘significant’ damaged caused to garden in suspected arson attack in Derbyshire

Police have launched an investigation into a suspected arson attack outside a home in Derbyshire.

Emergency services were called to reports of a fire in the garden of a property on Church Street, in Riddings, at around 4am on Tuesday, May 4.

Derbyshire Constanbulary said a number of bicycles and a motorbike were destroyed by the fire, and significant damage was caused to the outside of the home, two windows, and a fence.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Officers are now keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at time, or who may have any information about the incident.

Anyone with information that may help the investigation is asked to call Derbyshire Constabulary on 101 or by message the force on Twitter or Facebook.

Members of the public should quote reference 21*243516 and include the name of the officer in the case, DSI Georgina Dickson, in any correspondence.
