Bike stolen during burglary in Derbyshire

Derbyshire police are investigating after a couple were woken in the early hours to discover their home had been broken into and a bicycle stolen.

At around 3.30am on July 24, the couple was asleep at their house on Beresford Road, Sawley, when they heard a noise downstairs.

They went downstairs and discovered their home had been broken into and a bike had been stolen.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “While we would like to hear from anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area, we have also issued a picture in the hope of tracing the bicycle.

“It is a manufacturer’s image, not of the exact bike, a blue and yellow Cube Analog.”

Anyone with information which could help police with their investigation should call 101, quoting reference number 20*379548 and name of the officer in the case, PC Alice King.
