Arrests after cannabis factory WORTH £1M unearthed at Derbyshire house

Police arrested two men after raiding a house in Derbyshire and discovering a cannabis grow worth up to £1m.

Officers from Alfreton and Belper SNT stormed the property, in Ironville, where they discovered the grow, yesterday (Wednesday, December 16).

One of the largest discovered locally in recent times, it was at different stages of production from nursery to bags ready for the streets.

Two males, who it was also established had entered the country illegally, were arrested at the scene.

They have been remanded while investigations continue.
